Sleepovers - Why??????????

Haven't blogged for a while and not much to say really. Have been busy with mechanics of blogging - now have all my links sorted, a counter and a chatterbox!!! - hope you are impressed Penny - it's amazing what we blondes can accomplish.
Am currently functioning on about 2.5 hours sleep. This is the product of
a) Reece having a Sleepover (not a very apt name!!!) Party. Hence 6 ten/eleven year old boys in our lounge giggling and yakking until 3am this morning and
b) beloved husband snoring his head off and sounding like a train from 3:15am until about 5:00am - What Joy.
Still it reminds me that God is always watching over us and HE never sleeps - amazing really. I know he doesn't need sleep or anything but do we 'keep him up' until 3am or wear him out?

Like Mel Gibson said in "What women want", why would ANYONE do it twice?!

I trust that the girlies will be a little more accomodating for next weekend's sleepover - but then Chantal's mouth doesn't have an "off" switch, so this could be difficult.....!

I don't know about "keeping God up" until 3 am, but I was certainly up and about taking Lem-Sip at 3 am this morning, and it was good to realise that God never sleeps!

    Love & Hugs

I love thinking about how God doesn't sleep. He sees every hour of the night and watches His children all over the world.

There's that bit in "The Purpose Driven Life" where Rick Warren talks about how he loved to watch his kids sleeping at night. I think it's so great how God watches us in the same way...

not only when we're asleep but when we carry on our everday tasks, absorbed in what we're doing - He watches us then as well. All the while His thoughts about us reamin as numerous as the grain of sand (like how David days in the Psalms)

ahhhh sleepovers! Those were the days!

I used to have them in the summerhouse at the bottom of the garden! We had a phone in there, which if we pressed the button, it would buzz a phone in the house and we could ask mum to bring us drinks and food to the summerhouse! Great fun! Although, needing the toilet in the night was a pain!
Midnight feasts and hearing the scary owls outside!

Hi Rhi, I often ponder about God not sleeping but He is God and I need my beauty sleep and feel safe that He is watching over me.
