Put your behind in front of you

Or is it put your behind in your behind? Anyway to quote Pumba from the Lion King. The idea is out your past in the past where it belongs.
Have just had a somewhat yucky meeting with social workers - no probs to our family but we had to revisit some of the very difficult times our kids had before they were adopted.
It reminded me that all we have in our hands is TODAY. Yesterday is gone and all the mistakes and bad things that happened have been and gone and we cannot change them.
Tomorrow has yet to come but we can make TODAY count. So much time is wasted - busy being busy. So much heartache can be felt about what was done that we cannot do anything about.
God has put all our past in the deepest sea and put up the 'NO FISHING SIGN'. Let us too leave the past alone and do something good today.
For all of you who have or know kids out there - give them a big hug today for you don't know what they are going through and a hug (or even better a cutch) will allways help - my two will certainly get a big cutch when I meet them from school today.

For the poor "Saesneg" ("English") out there, you'd best explain what a "cutch" is - poeple might be worrying!

Loved the blog, and was praying for you re; this morning. I'd add only one thing. I was talking to someone yesterday, who had got stuck in ONLY living for today - the fact that she could have hope for tomorrow was completely new to her, as she had lived for so long without it. I totally agree about consciously putting the past in the past, but thank God, we also have a "Hope that is steadfast and certain in Christ"

    Hallelujah!
